Developmental Biology - Laboratory

Course overview

I am incredibly biased when it comes to this course, one of the best courses I took. Not only did I learn a plethora of new information but it truly kept me in awe. I was lucky to have such a great instructor who ensured that we received the best of information, so thank you Dr. Gaber for being an incredible and inspiring instructor through these years.

So let's see what is this about. In this Laboratory course we learned about the different embryonic developmental stages of humans. Learning the nitty-gritty details of the male and female reproductive systems including spermatogenesis and oogenesis. Covering the hormonal production, morphology and different stages.

We also study chick and sea star development separately with all of its different stages. Lastly, we covered differential staining of cartilage and bone while also learning about bone formation (osteogenesis).

Note that this laboratory course included both theoretical and practical parts, understanding the theoretical parts makes for an easier and smoother practical experience.
