About me
Welcome to my humble platform! I'm Reem Salem, a molecular biologist who loves to share her different experiences. Book lover and avid coffee drinker who also appreciates a warm cup of tea. This page is all about me so I'll keep it interesting.
Well when I was a baby I thought about this, about having a blog/site, just joking. To be entirely honest, when I was younger I didn't like science much but that was before I got introduced to biology.
Which takes us to high school, 9th grade to be more specific was the year that I fell in love with biology. It fascinated me and still continues to. I was soo fascinated that I started reading, researching and watching documentaries to understand more about this amazing field. Then, I discovered Genetics which was my personality for a whole year or two. I made the clever decision of taking the AP Biology course, which was I think the singular best decision I made in the entirety of my high school years. I learned so much more from ecology to molecular biology, things I never heard before such as transcription and translation.
When people thought I was joking, I enrolled in United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. It might be intimidating to many but the major is much more than the title. Through university I learned even more about biology, got to do practical lab work including PCR, DNA extraction and much more. Which only amplified my interest and made me more excited for what to come.
Well now that I have a bit of knowledge, I feel that it falls on me to share this knowledge to not only my fellow biology students but to all biology enthusiasts or anyone willing to learn.
